March 10, 2025 – The 2025 Blade Leadership Summit took place on March 4th and 5th at the Blades Training Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The event brought together 32 key leaders and lead technicians for two days of collaboration, development, and strategic planning. This summit served as a crucial opportunity for aligning leadership goals and addressing both challenges and opportunities for the company.
Day 1 – March 4th
The first day featured a series of presentations and activities designed to align leadership and set the tone for the year ahead. Craig Guthrie, Director of Blade Services, kicked off the event with an opening session where attendees shared their personal motivations for working with TAKKION. Craig also reviewed the Blade Department’s 2024 performance and outlined plans for 2025. HSE Specialist Gabe Ramos then led a safety presentation, focusing on best practices and documentation requirements. The afternoon was dedicated to leadership personality and communication development, with Marie Wardenski, Chief Human Resources Officer, guiding attendees through insights discovery, color energies, and strategies for better communication and connection.






Day 2 – March 5th
The second day centered on technical updates, fleet management, and leadership growth. Michael Kaehn, Sr. Blade Engineer, and Caleb Kyle, Blade Engineer, led a presentation on engineering developments, updates in reporting practices, and an in-depth look at improvements in communication between the field and back office. TAKKION’s Fleet Management team then provided insights into trucks, DOT regulations, and materials management. In the afternoon, the group participated in a SWOT analysis session, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and translating these into actionable steps. Supervisors discussed role expectations, responsibilities, and any new process rollouts, followed by a “Feedback from the Field” session where leads brainstormed solutions to field issues. The summit concluded with a review of key takeaways and a group fun night at Archery Games in Arvada, CO.
